It is with much regret that I inform you all we have had a death in the community.
Andrew Ellwood was taken from us in a tragic car accident last friday evening on his way home from parkour training.
A budding traceur, and an all round nice guy he was, taken too soon in life as he has only 18 years of age.
He did mention to me he was tired at training, and also that he was having trouble with a platau. we were going to go through some training this sunday, but unfortunately he will never have the chance to get over the platau.
It saddens me greatly as I have trained with andrew for around 3 years now, in which he went from someone who felt they were weak to a person who got stuck in and did the dreaded "conditioning"and had the confidence and knowledge of parkour to become a valued member of the community and a good friend. He will be sorely missed by our small but tight whangarei group, and condolences go out to his friends and family.
R.I.P Andrew, my training will be dedicated to you brother.
